You’ve streamlined your suitcase weight and you have started to think about the weight of everything …but how can you figure out which wonderful clothes to take? You have a closet full and it’s so hard to decide.
In order to pare down the options, you need to decide on a color combination. The rule of thumb I use is two neutrals and one splash or accent color. For my recent Australia trip, as it was summer Down Under, I decided on white and beige as my neutrals and orange as my splash color. Once that decision was made, it was easy to pick out which pieces would work for the trip. And, it was amazing how many orange pieces including scarves that I already had.
Another summer option I have used in the past has been navy and beige with a splash color of yellow.
If I had been traveling in winter, I might have selected black and gray with a splash color of purple or red.
Once you make the color decisions, packing lightly will be a breeze
