Traveling through the Fjords – Geiranger, Norway
If you don’t already know this… I’m an early riser, so don’t be surprised by the fact that by 6am on the day we pulled into port in Geiranger, we had a window seat up in the Lido Restaurant sipping hot tea and marveling at the sights of this magnificent Fjord. This fjord is the most dramatic of the all the fjords we saw! An added plus was the detailed commentary on the fjord broadcast from the Bridge. The Captain talked about the gorgeous views and the history of the fjord as we passed through it. We also got to see The Seven Sisters Waterfall, which is absolutely unforgettable! Instead of touring the country side via coach, we decided to walk about the village. I loved the quaint shops – especially the one with a giant gnome beside the front door!
