Once you have decided on your colors, then you can pick your shoes. Still the dilemma of which ones…again my rule of thumb is 3 pairs with an additional pair for working out. For my trip to Australia, I had a pair of flats that I could wear for evening as well as daytime, sandals for both day and casual night, and hiking shoes. Because I knew I would be getting my exercise outdoors, I replaced my work out shoes with reef runners for the beach days.
If you don’t work out or won’t be doing so on your vacation, then you have a bonus pair automatically.
Whenever you think about shoes, still consider the weight. I have a pair of workout shoes that weigh nothing and I will take those instead of my regular workout shoes when I am just traveling for a few days. Makes a big weight difference.
It’s easy – 2 neutrals/1 splash and 3 pairs of shoes….
Voila – you’re well on your weigh to having the lightest luggage in the group and best the best dressed as well!
