Departed Miami 1030A
Larry had made arrangements online with Luxury parking that provided reasonable parking and r/t port transfers. ($ 53 for the week). We arrived early at the Port (11:15A) and had a pleasant surprise that we could go thru the security and boarding process. Plus both Captain’s Club Elite and Select Guests had expedited entry. Word of caution: The security scan at the port is just as thorough as airport. So no knives, sharp objects and even a curling iron required a bag check.
1130A found us on-board and up in the Ocean-view Café with Celebrity announcing that they elected to welcome guests on-board early so that they could enjoy the dining, public area and ship in comfort while their staterooms were being prepared. Our entire group was already aboard and enjoying lunch when we arrived. (Great having cell phones).
2P Announcement that all staterooms were open. 7 of our cabins were all in a row with the divide between each balcony – for our sail away our Room Steward kindly folded them all back so that we could all visit and enjoy the Sail Away (you could hear the music from the pool on deck 12).
