A few weeks ago, Valerie sent a mother & daughter team - Catherine Adelman & Karen Mull - to Paris & London. Here is some of their review of the two cities:
From Cathy - "We had a perfect time in London. I told my husband I can’t wait to go back! The hotel was the perfect choice - not too large and very good service. We had tea at the Ritz, the Landford, Harrod’s and Fortune & Mason’s. We sawshows, did the London Eye, the Key Ceremony and in general had a really wonderful time. The weather was consistently great – mid 60’s to the mid 70’s. We had a lovely time in Paris. The Hotel de Louvre was great and the room was actually very quiet. The room was large and the location worked really well for us. We were glad we had our umbrellas - the weather was fine the day we arrived but it poured the next two days. We used the boats to travel from the Louvre to the Eiffel Tower (we were there at night so saw the lights) We skipped the museums but did Notre Dame, the surrounding area, the Galleries Lafayette and managed to do a lot of shopping despite the language barrier. We had tea and macaroons at Laduree. The train worked very well and it was so easy!"
From Karen - "[In London] We saw Jersey Boys, Top Hat, Singing in the Rain and The BodyGuard. Singing in the Rain was fantastic but closing in a few weeks – hopefully moving to Broadway. Top Hat was also very good. We loved the Portabello Market."
"Thanks for all your help in planning this trip. We really enjoyed both Paris and London and it was easy to leave Paris knowing I would return in September! Your help and suggestions made this an easy, enjoyable escape! - Cathy"
